Different people like different home pages greeting them when they open up their browsers so today you will learn how to change your home page in Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Edge and Mozilla
How to change your home page in Google Chrome:
- Open Chrome
- Click on the 3 buttons in the upper right hand corner of chrome and the click on the “Settings” button
- You will see a “On Startup” section
- You can choose “Open New Tab Page” which opens a blank page and is good if you don’t want to see anything on your new pages
- You can choose “Contine where you left off” which will duplicate the page you we’re last on
- Or, you can choose “open a specific page or set of pages” by clicking on the “Set Pages” button
- Simply close and re-open Google Chrome and the changes will apply
How to change your home page in Internet Explorer:
- Open Google Chrome
- Click on the Gear in the upper right corner and choose “Internet Options”
- In the “General” Tab you will see a Home Page window where you can type in the www. address of the website or pages you want to load (if you add multiple website than multiple pages will load on startup)
- You can also choose between “start with tabs from the last session” or “start with home page”
- Click “OK” and the changes will apply
How to change your home page in Mozilla Firefox:
- Open Firefox
- Click on the 3 lines in the upper right corner and choose “Options”
- In the General section under “startup” you can choose when Firefox starts by clicking on the drop-down
- If you choose Show my home page you must then enter a www. address in the Home Page field directly below
- If you choose Show a blank page you don’t have to enter anything int he home page field
- If you choose Show my windows and tabs from last time you dont have to enter anything int he home page field
- Simply close and re-open Mozilla Firefox and the changes will apply
How to change your home page in Edge:
- Open Edge
- Click on the 3 dot button in the upper right corner and choose “Settings”
- You will see the option for “Open With”
- Check the box for the option you want
- If you choose “Start page” your home page will be a spartan search page
- If you choose “New Tab Page” then a blank page will open on startup
- If you choose “Previous Page” than the pages from your last internet session will open
- If you choose “A specific page or pages” it will let you choose a website by simply typing the www. address you want by selection “Custom” from the dropdown ( can add multiple home pages by clicking on the + button as well)
- Simply close and re-open Edge and the changes will apply
