Since we like to preach working faster and smarter we thought we would provide a list of the 15 most useful keyboard shortcuts in Windows. I want you to think about something before you review these keyboard shortcuts by utilizing some basic math.
Using a hotkey saves you, on average, 2 seconds. If you use hotkeys just 30 times a day, you save a minute per day. So just by utilizing a handful of hotkeys you can save 6 hours a year.
Every Minute you save a Day, saves you 6 hours a Year.
So you will have wasted at least 2 Weeks of your Working Life (20 Years) dragging a mouse.
CTRL + A = Select All
CTRL + C = Copy
CTRL + X = Cut
CTRL + V = Paste
CTRL + F = Find a word or phrase
CTRL + P = Print
CTRL + S = Save
CTRL + N = New Page
Windows (little flag button on bottom left of the keyboard) + Home = Minimizes all but the current Window
Windows + M = Minimize all Windows
Windows + Up or Down Arrow = Maximizes or minimizes the current Windows
Windows + Right or Left Arrow = Sets the current Window to take up half of the monitor
Windows + L = Lock PC
Windows + M = Minimize all Windows
Windows key + Print Screen( PrtScn) = Takes a picture of your entire screen, which you can pair with CTRL + V to paste into a Document for easy sharing of error messages for your I.T. Guy
ALT + Tab = Cycle through your open items
ALT + F4 = Shut down the program you are currently in
SHIFT + F7 = Thesaurus function in Word
F2 = Rename a file
Windows + Numerical Key will open the corresponding App in your Taskbar
