Is your Sharepoint online site SYNC button greyed out or completely missing, well here is the fix
First, make sure you have permission to access the site, if you can see the files and folders then you likely do
If you’ve gotten to my page then you’ve probably gone through 10 other support articles telling you to turn ON the OFFLINE CLIENT ABILITY setting – what they probably didn’t mention is that there are 2 locations for this setting
The 2 locations for the OFFLINE CLIENT ABILITY IN SHAREPOINT ONLINE
- SITE SETTINGS – SEARCH AND OFFLINE AVAILABILITY – Allow items from this site to be downloaded to offline clients – YES
- LIBRARY SETTINGS – MORE LIBRARY SETTINGS – ADVANCED SETTINGS – Allow items from this site to be downloaded to offline clients – YES
I have found that both these settings have to be enabled in order for the SYNC button to show up or stop it from being grayed out
Now the sync button should show up and can be tied to your OneDrive application
